NSN Annual Meeting – Tuesday 3 September at Newcastle University

The Northern Soils Network (NSN) is holding a joint event with the Ecological Continuity Trust at Newcastle University which is open to members and non-members.

Newcastle University will be hosting a joint BSSS Northern Soils Network (NSN) and Ecological Continuity Trust (ECT) event at Cockle Park Farm – a working 307ha mixed farm situated near Morpeth.

The day will offer a chance to explore one of the top AgriTech research centres in the UK and the ECT’s Palace Leas experiment. This will include an interactive examination of soil profiles in contrasting soil types that are widespread in the north of England, with discussion of the differences between these and the implications for crop and land management.
